what i learned this semester

This semester I've learned that although there are really shitty people out there, there are also really awesome people. You have to learn to choose your friends and CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES. Sometimes shitty people say things to you because you are happy and they are not, and it pisses them off and makes them jealous. So they try to fuck up things that are important you... sometimes you let them, and it ruins a lot of things. You regret it, you're sorry, but it doesnt change the things that have been said and done. Sometimes you ignore them and move on with your life and that makes them even madder. I've learned this semester about true friendship, about making the right choices, about the things that really matter, and about people that you should never let into your life. I've learned about hurt, regret, and forgiveness- and I owe it all to those shitty ppl.
I mean, review my semester. Was I screwed over by Emily and Lauren or was Ian just trying to come between us? I'll never know. Did Jon really talk shit or was Tom just fucking with me? I'll never know that either. What about Blair: did he really 'care' or was he gossipping? And JT? And Kristen? And ... and... and...
So much happened. But so much was learned. Basically I came out of my first semester stronger and smarter, better, happier (sometimes), and a lot harder to gain trust from. I truly feel this semester was great only because I know these sorts of things will never happen to me again.
